Holbeach were exactly the same 2 weeks ago but thankfully we've overcome it on both occasions. We played really well today I thought, every man played their part but Merrill was the standout for me, closely followed by Henderson. Nice to see Koriya play so well again in a central position,
All in all perhaps the most enjoyable game since Spalding.

Both Deeping and Huntingdon dropped points at home today which helps us in our push for second spot.

If results go Spaldings way in next seven days they will be champions.
If we draw or lose either game v Deeping and Kempston and Spalding win at Dog and Duck next saturday we could not overhaul their 88 points and superior GD.
Likewise if Huntingdon drop 3 points in their two games.

Huntingdon can still go above us if they win both their games in hand, but only just now and they do seem to be dropping quite a few points at the moment, if we avoid defeat on Tuesday, we're looking in good shape to finish at least 3rd, but of course a win would be nice.

Good game, really good watch - some really good moments, including a penalty that could have come from the Premier League. If we keep playing like that we can be really confident about next season. Any word on attendance yet?

If anyone's wondering the Vase semi-finalists are West Auckland, Sholing, Eastbourne United and of course, the Scottish team.

That's two Step 6 clubs in semi's.
My friends in Eastbourne must be getting pretty excited.

I thought the same as Barton Raz, a good all round solid performance and the best since Spalding. Just hope we keep the standard of play up against Deeping. A good 3 points and a step in the right direction for 2nd spot, which seems the best we will get with the top team winning 6-0 away.

Mal's pics added to the Match Report. As well as some excellent pics of the action as usual, there are also some good ones of Treacher and Warfield in full moaning mode, and some of our fans response after we did our talking by focussing on playing the game and putting the ball in the net.
The player and match stats are also updated, along with the form guide and historic stats, as well as the player profiles.
