Decent performance and close game, but while it was harsh on us at the end, it was unfortunately predictable that this Spalding team would get a late winner, they did it against Welly Town a few weeks ago and they've down it quite a few times before in this season, sign of a title winning team. Similarly to the reverse fixture, they only really showed glimpses of their quality and needless to say once again there didn't look to be much difference in quality between the 2 sides, but obviously the contrast in overall records this season shows differently.
Good crowd as well, 624, good considering it didn't mean a huge amount.

Didn't deserve to lose. We had the best chances in the second half and a draw would have been a fair result. Unfortunately losing a third home game in the last four from a winning position has cost us dear in our quest for second place. I expect us to finish in third place now unless Huntingdon fail to get any points from their matches against Spalding and PNS.

What happened at the end of the game?? Rumours that a Diamonds fan punched their manager??? If this did happen it's disgraceful and whoever the coward was should get banned for life.

Agree Trek, sadly lost another game we didn't deserve to, possibly lessons to be learnt. Little between the sides, in fact if you were picking a team from all those on show, IMO the would be 4/5 Diamonds players in there. Thought the No 5 for them was immense.
As for Fat Pat he is the sort of person who is never likely to disappoint. Today he showed without doubt he has about as much class as a turd. The Spalding Chairman, Committee & Club in General must be so proud to be associated with him. Not even a half decent Manager but a prat of the highest order, will he win them anything next season? No hope unless they give him £4,000 a week. The Spending players get lots of stick but having spoken to a Father. & some of them, they mostly came across as a decent bunch, how many will be there next season? Not many, what do they think of FP? about the same as the rest of us. All the best to them, a small Club with no support going nowhere as soon as the money runs out, I'm happy to stick with you lot, take our time & do it right.

Agree with the above, we did not deserve to lose. 2 of the players brothers stood and chatted with us and they said exactly the same, that 4 of our players would improve their team, and they named them. The centre half was a really good player and it could be a while before we play them again, with us going up next season and them coming back down. ;)

cant see Spalding beating Huntingdon twice. So it looks like 3rd place.
Don't mind that too much as we can have another exciting run for promotion and another bash at the FA Vase.
That nice Mr Rayment was a prize ******** again today. What is it about that man.???
Cant condone any violence but if anyone deserves the wrath of supporters it must be him.
Wonder what lies in store for him next season? Will he still be at Spalding?? Or will the Spalding committee decide enough is enough.
