Andy is the right appointment. If we had bought anyone new in then you basically write off next season while they bring in their own staff and players and get used to each other.

Andy also ticks all the boxes and a few more beside.

Gary Mills for one as he told everyone on social media, which was so unprofessional possibly in lots of people's eyes that ruled him out. Sure most of the other applicants are working at other clubs and will now return to those jobs which is how it should happen. So from me thank you to them for their interest, we all move on and well done to those involved for the professional manner the matter had been handled. No pressure Peaksy but need a bit of silverware next season :o

"Anyone who knows Andy will know that he is Diamonds through and through and in appointing him as manager, we know that we have appointed someone who cares as passionately about the club’s success on and off the field as we do.”
Says it all really. He`s already freshened up the squad and has a wealth of contacts .
Congratulations.

We'll looks like we didn't have the balls to get someone new in.
I was hopping for someone higher up to be honest and out of 25 applicants I am sure there would of been. A manager which could get players from league above and change half of the squad freshen it up a bit. We need that but extra to get promoted and with peaksy I think we will just be top 4 again , I just think we have took the easy option. Don't shoot me down and I hope I am proven very wrong but I wanted a new manager and staff . Should we of gone with experience from higher up or ucl?

We shall see. If we get to Wembley in the FA Vase and promoted, he'll be a hero. If we have the same season as this year, people will moan. You can't win!

Very true young man. Although I still think Andy is the best man for the job.

That's a bit unfair on our hardworking board and the people involved in the interview and selection process and you are in minority judging by the comments on this forum. No guarantee that a new man would get us promotion next term, if so, Manchester United would have won the Premiership in a canter this season.
Peaksie is Diamonds through and through, knows the set up and the manner in which the Board want us to progress and has brought into the ethos of the club, has got good UCL contacts and will know exactly what is needed to make us a serious title contender.

Good points Paul. At the fans forum Peaksy came across really well and knows that promotion out of the UCL is the priority next season.
