They've always had a decent following for their status. They have a bit of history, being a former football league club and often featured in Europe.Olly wrote:Bloody hellIrish Diamond wrote:They are currently 2-0 up, with minutes to go.
Over 4200 at the game!![]()
Thought their attendance of 3000 at the weekend was high enough, looks like they may be able to get decent crowds in the BSP, perhaps similar to our own, if not even higher so well done to them, can't believe how far ahead they are in the BSS table, 27 points!

Strictly speaking the current Newport County club is a completely new one only being formed in 1989 after the previous one went out of business a year earlier.TheIncognitoKid wrote:They have a bit of history, being a former football league club and often featured in Europe.

The only reason it took a replay to beat them was because their striker (can't remember his name now) clearly dived to win a penalty at their place. Still, justice was done with Sam Smith's last minute equaliser in the replay and the subsequent shoot-out victory, especially as Dale saved Rob Duffy's spot kick to win it.wewantourdarbyback wrote:Urgh, when we played them in the Trophy last year their time wasting antics were despicable. The spent most of the 90 mins doing everything they could do delay doing everything. Their keeper should have recieved at least two yellows and gone off for persistant time wasting.
