I feared the worst when I saw the score, but hearing that PNS had 2 players sent off slightly eases my fears a little, hopefully they won't be strolling every game like Spalding did last season. I have faith in our team, its a very strong team who will no doubt be top 3 again, though I'm not convinced this team would be able to keep up with another Spalding. Very early days though and anything could happen, can't wait for Saturday!

Another good groundhop crowd as well for PNS, 357.

I don't want to get too far ahead but, I wonder if Holbeach will apply for promotion considering they declined to two years ago?

John Chand has said yes and that is one of the reasons he went back

Regardless of the score, players sent off etc. it is a long season ahead and we are 3 points off the top with a game in hand. We also have to play them twice and they will not want to come to the D&D when we are in full flow. Saturday will be a good game to kick off our season and I'm expecting a win.

Apparently they need an awful lot of work carrying out on their ground to get the grading for Step 4 and this is from someone I was recently speaking to who carries out ground grading.

The mileage of the NPLD1S must've changed dramatically in two years then! It would be quite funny to see the same group of players promote club after club in the Fens, before deciding again that they don't want the travelling involved in Step 4.

It'll be nice if Holbeach lost some points on Saturday game.

That's good,

We can't afford to many stupid slip ups this season.

He won't slip up, he's not much of a drinker so a quick Brownie session on
Friday night should do the job.
