Thanks to all those that came to the Cricket in Irthlingborough today. And also many thanks for all those that played - some great batting, bowling and fielding.

Irthlingborough won with just 2 overs to go (I think), but was a fun day (and no rain).

The clubs raised £164 between them from the Raffle, Sandwiches, Cream Teas and Pimm's that were on sale.

2 Raffle prizes remain unclaimed, drop a not on here or PM me, and I will get you in touch to claim the prize(s).

413 BLUE [ Wine ]
803 PINK [ Brooch ]

LOST PROPERTY

A small child's "Bench" (brand) Jacket (Black) was left on the pavilion. It has been left at the club, so please check with the Cricket Club if it is your or you know whose it is.

Outstanding performances from Keiron Starmer with bat (50+) and Ben Peakes (4 wkts).
I don't think Matt Prior has too much to worry about with his wicket keeping duties for England!!
Fazel showed what a good all round sportsman he is and Bunts...well he enjoyed himself!

The other most significant feature of the day was watching Dunks partner display her footie skills during the tea break. Sign her up as soon as we can reform the Ladies team.

On the contrary, having watched England recently, Mug Prior has much to worry about indeed! ;)

You cant say that about Prior!!! He is a Sussex player.
Although to be fair Dave C did stop quite a few runs yesterday, not sure that he scored many though.

An excellent turn out and a very enjoyable afternoon in the sun.

Well done to all those that made the day, not forgetting Judith and Julie for preparing all the food, drink and organising a cracking day out.

Just posting up the photos now, so should be available to view in about 10 mins or so.

I didn't get into bat. I knew where they were all going, I just couldn't get there in time for a few of them.

I'm nearly 50, fat and dodgy a dickey ticker, we were expecting (hoping) to bat for about twenty overs, and watch them slog it for about ten and then hit the bar. I have played anything approaching competitive sport for nearly twenty years. Not going to hospital was a result for me.

What you need is to come to 'Walking Football', we'll forget about the few months until you are 50!
