If I was a Bedford Town supporter id be very concerned entering the new season having been outplayed at home to a team from a league below, where some of their players looked below the standard required
Yes would have to agree. Bedford's shooting was very poor. I hope for them some of their key players were missing.

Kudos to both teams for playing in the humidity. It was bad enough sitting in the stand let alone running around the pitch !!!

I think Bedford will be fine next season. We're not the run-of-the-mill Step 5 side, and had they taken any of chances we gifted them in the first half it would have been a lot different. We played well on the whole and it was a far more interesting game than last week despite the heat.

The game that never happened.
For all of you other 200 Diamonds fans who Thought you saw, AFCR&D beat Bedford Town 2-1 last Saturday sorry but it was a figment of our imagination. One week on & reports on the Eagles web site of the BIG win against Bugbrook, the 1 all draw with Enfield (from a higher league) and the 3-1 win against Huntingdon, but no mention of any game on Sat 19th. Even both local papers have covered all above mentioned games but given not a line of print to the imaginary game that we all thought happened last week. I fully understand that not all Bedford players and members of the management staff were not that happy to loose to us, but it happened so report on it, not like the local reporter wasn't there, he was the one behind the goal with the pen & paper. Should we happen to play them in the FA Cup & be LUCKY enough to win, presume it's safe to assume they will claim the never entered said competition in 2014-15. Sad to say but sometimes my home Town football Club who I watched for many years, under the guidance of the clown of a Chairman they currently have is little more than embarrassing.
