Fantastic to come away with the 3 points, hard earned and thoroughly deserved by the lads. On the balance of play we deserved to win by two or three but Boston's slightly fortuitous goal caused a nervy ending which, after surviving it, should give the lads plenty of confidence. Confue was immense in the middle and Lorraine made lots of dangerous runs down the channels all afternoon that opened up chances for us.

Interesting to hear some Boston fans full of praise for their team's efforts at full time, suggesting we were up against a team giving the best of what they've got on the day, so another reason to be chuffed that we came away with maximum points.

I thought this one to be a potential banana skin before the match, but we in control of the match until we conceded. Like already said, should have been a few more goals on the board but will certainly take any victory on the road. Also have to say that Tom Lorraine is looking well worthy of his place in the side now, really has worked hard to hold down a place.

Huntingdon beat Desborough 3-2.
Yaxley, Holbeach and Thurnby Nirvana all advanced in the vase.
Long Buckby got their first win of the season, a 5-3 victory away at Harrowby

Excellent 3 points for us, thought a banana skin in my head. Control the game well, a bit nervous at the end.

Also excellent news is that Holbeach and Yaxley won in the vase, I hope both of them stay in the vase for quite a bit longer. :D

I agree. I think having Charlie Butt in the team is really helping his game, as Charlie's accurate long ball's over the top are suiting Tom. In the last 3 games he has managed to read these passes and get in some great positions.

I thought we played exceptionally well today actually. We were attacking incessantly throughout the game and looked solid at the back. It was unfortunate that they scored something of a fluke goal as this forced us on to the back foot, but we hung in there and got the points which is all that matters.

7 points clear now. I know others have games in hand, but i'd rather have the points in the bag.

One of the highlights was the Boston keeper joining in with his attack for the last 5 mins, and his desperate tackle on the half way line.

Another good solid performance today. Boston only got into game once they scored, and set up a nervy few minutes.
How many times can Confue win MOM?

Good win. Boston are difficult to beat at home.

As well as Confue being outstanding I thought Bunting had a very good game, controlling the midfield, allowing Confuse to push on and managing the ball superbly.

Totally agree with Barton Raz, having two full backs in the team adds balance and gives us more options going forward and most importantly allows the wingers to play higher up the field.

I would still like the wingers to go outside the full backs more though. The number two yesterday was showing them outside all the time so he wanted them inside, proved that on the odd occasion we did go outside the cross came in.

A bonus for me yesterday was that I won the raffle!! A lovely large box of Tesco chocolates. So it would only be fair to share them with my Radio Diamonds colleagues, especially Adam as I know how partial he is to chocolate, but alas I have just seen the "best before" date........."end of Nov 2014".

So do I either throw them in the bin, potentially poison my friends or scoff them all myself this afternoon whilst I am writing my Christmas Cards.?

If I am not at next Saturdays match you will know which option I chose!!!!
