I understand why the clubs have done this, and also why they feel it is right, however in my mind the thing to do is go with the decision alreday made according to the rules, but seek them to be changed next season when the same thing happens to Darlo (as it probably will). If the decision is changed I can see some other clubs, especially those affected by the relegation situation, seeking legal advice !
Nothing will change !! Nor should it in my opinion !!

So that's us, York, Stevenage, Oxford, Cambridge and Tamworth to confirm their appeals.
Have to say, while I understand why the club have done it, it's not something I agree with.

Quote: Richard Money
Everyone in this league has done everything they possibly can this year when they play us, and when they don't play us, to keep us in the Conference next season.
In other words, "It's not fair, other teams keep beating us and preventing us from strolling our way to the league title and promotion back to our rightful position in the Football League. Boo hoo.

"
Prick.

The appeal is silly really.
What other options are there?
None. If we could go back in time then Chester wouldn't have been allowed in the league to start with.
They points deduction has been the fairest way possible. Not ideal, bot there is no other way.

I agree to an extent, but the FA have set a precedent by reinstating Spennymoor's results in 2005, in what was a very similar situation by all accounts. There is no fair way of dealing with this situation, some clubs will benefit from the points being expunged, some will lose out (probably more will lose out actually), but I don't see this new suggestion being any less fair than expunging the results when you consider the league as a whole.
You say that Chester wouldn't have been allowed into the league if we could go back in time, but I think most people realised that they would struggle to last the season back when they were first accepted into the BSP, so I'm still not sure the Conference Board would have demoted them further!
