The late goal did make it feel like a defeat yesterday, especially given that we had played so well. But there were far more positives to take from the game than there were negatives, and in all honesty there wasn't much difference in terms of the overall performance between yesterday and the Gateshead game, other than one defensive mistake in the last minute and the fact that we didn't convert our chances as we did last week.
As I was getting back on the coach I heard someone behind me remark that conceding that last minute goal had just cost us a play off place! I suggest he take a look at the league table!

If Alty had equalised a minute after we'd scored our second, and the nit had ended 2-2, we'd all have been feeling it was a good draw, rather than having to persuade ourselves it was!
This team is made of sterner stuff Alan, if they were going to be knocked by this, the last minute penalty against Oxford would have stuffed them up - it didn't !!! I'll admit it was disappointing, but it wasn't a defining moment in the season - we'll bounce back !!
The teams we've had in recent years would have gone into meltdown (they did at times) at the merest setback, this lot have a mental toughness about them.

I would suggest it may have ended our Title winning "aspirations" which i think were too far fetched anyway!

We have got the best team and manager in years and they will react to the Saturday disappointment with a big result on Wednesday - watch out Oxford..!
