Some quality football, coupled with exceptional defending from Oadby  was the a blanket ban on supporters celebrating goals at Wisbech on Saturday or were all those things that looked like people actually cardboard cutouts??
It`s another game against another team, and if we play like we can, and did when we went there earlier this season I an confident we will win.

To win on Saturday we will need to break a "hoodoo".
In three seasons we are yet to beat a title contender at home.

12/13 Three 2-2 draws Sileby, Eynesbury, Oadby

13/14 two home defeats Huntingdon, Spalding

14/15 Holbeach draw (I do not consider Thurnby were a serious threat at the time we played them)

I thought the Hoodoo was "we had never beaten a top 4 team at home" so Deeping would have been included in 13/14 season as they finished 4th and like Huntingdon & Spending we lost 2-1 at home to them. Given it is likely Thurnby will finish 3rd this year I`m considering the Hoodoo has been broken, if for no other reason it`s one less bit of pressure being added to this game ;)

I think it's stretching it a bit to class Holbeach as title contenders

I'm sure Wisbech will bring a few, there will be the usual UCL hangers on.

Hopefully the significance of the game will attract some groundhoppers and former fans and we should beat our biggest gate of the season. I can't see it bettering 1,000 though. That will come on the "pay what you like game against Wellingborough"

We'd be the happier of the two clubs if that were the case eh?

Ah yes, I had forgotten about the pay what you like aspect of the Wellingborough game, D&D derby plus the added attraction of seeing a team that could be celebrating promotion at the end of the game (?) should hopefully take us close to or over 1000. And then the Cogenhoe game should be over 1000 too!

But I agree with others, I would absolutely love it to be our first 1000+ crowd on Saturday, but I don't think it will be, 850-900 I'd think, I'll go for 866.

With the 6 Nations and the not so inspiring weather, I doubt we will get over 750. I'll go 702
