Unders scored a pretty decent goal in the rearranged game too - https://rdfc1992.com/1999/03/23/leek-to ... iamonds-3/

It's a beautiful day and the 12th man is needed loud and proud at Leek Town this afternoon. See you all there!

Puts us above Newcastle Town who succumbed to a late winner against Shaw Lane after being 2-0 ahead.

Big game now on Tuesday night against Stocksbridge.

I don't think it's possible to understate the importance of that win. A huge 3 points. Cracking day at a fantastic ground.

First half we weren't at the races and Leek were extremely unfortunate not to score on three occasions (hitting the post twice). Bringing on Oulton for Bowen in the first half - not sure if it was tactical or enforced - allowed us to get a foothold in the game and start dictating the play. Second half we were the better side and the winner came at the perfect time.

Farrell and Oulton must start on Tuesday. On today's evidence Oulton is ready and now's not the time to start dropping your best players because they miss a game. It was madness not to put Farrell back in but we got away with it.

If ever there was a time for the old cliche about a "Jekyll and Hyde" performance that was it. The first 45 minutes (in reality 35 minutes) were the worst I can remember from a Diamonds side - even the normally dependable players were making loose passes and putting their team in danger. The switch to 4-3-3 made all the difference - but we could have been out of sight by then. Without being directly critical of players, Peaksy made the right substitutions at the right time, but quite how those who played the full game could pick up their performances so much once we went 4-3-3 is still a bit of a mystery.

Regarding the Ben Farrell question, its a tricky one now Oulton is back - and I agree Oulton must start - as I think Quigley must also play in midfield - so where does that leave Bunting? Alternatively we could keep Farrell at full-back rather than seeing Callum Westwood brought back in after his ban. I'd be tempted to start with the 11 that finished the game today in the crunch game on Tuesday.

That's not the first time that's happened with this Pitchero Play feature. It really proves how spoilt we were when our Media Team produced such high quality match videos. I'd quite happily do without Pitchero Play completely, and get the awful music etc off our site, but those in the know think we are contractually bound to host it, and the associated adverts, on our website. However, it seems too many people are prepared to put up with it - or just don't bother using our official website any more.

Hopefully we will be in the Southern League next season and avoid those stupid Pitchero clips. If they want to show the goals why dont they produce a proper montage with a commentary of who scorers are etc.

Our official roundup and post match interviews are the only video worth watching.

Great sequence of substitutions today won us the game.
