Surely justin has looked into extending bynres loan already so that may sort itself out
Justin said on the radio that we had enquiries prior to the loan window shutting but nothing and no firm bid since, although he is aware of interest. So i doubt that would be true.

Also, Notts County are in an absolute mess financially now aren't they? Plus, they'd want him straight away.

I believe that means we still have 3 to play with?
If your counting loans, we also had the lad Mills with us for a month

There was an article in the Evening Telegraph saying 15 clubs were after Tommo, and i'm told 5 or 6 of these have been monitoring him home and away for just over a month.

I reckon Sheffield United (who are one of the 15) would be the best move for us financially, aswell as for Tommo himself. They're not to sharp on the wings, and if Exodus can play championship after looking sh*t at our level i'm sure Tommo will have no problems stepping up. Only other club that handle youngsters well that were rumoured to be after him were Palace, but I think they have a transfer embargo? As for the fee - I'd take £150k+ sell on/other fee's in the future.

Graham Carr was there today (Alan Carr's dad/ex C*bblers boss) and he was scouting for Man City, up until Hughes got the sack. Whether he was just watching the game or he's working for someone else I don't know.

Shaun Harrad isn't getting much of a game at Burton, a good striker at this level.

Matty Tubbs scores goal, and could be available for cheap considering Salisbury's financial position.

Jason Walker from Barrow? Danny Wright from Histon?

Just a few names.......

I think these are the sort of names we should be looking at. especially players we can get from sides who are in trouble finanically. It may even be worth looking at some of the players at Stockport, who may be worth a gamble on, although obviously not first teams.

I do worry that the squad could be completely different if some of the players leave, especially defensively as i think we may be a little short of cover. However, if JEMS think the two aynsley's are up to stepping up, then we could be in for an interesting six months! Personally i think we will need another defender and a winger or two, as atm we only really have two, as although Byrne is a great player and doing a good job, imo hes not a winger in the long term. I think we could afford to lose a Cm as we have enough there with Wolly coming back. Tbh if we keep Byrne until the end of the season, i wouldn't be totally surprised if Terry left, as hes not looked quite as goo as he did at the start of the year recently, and i think we would benefit long-term from playing some of the younger players.

We will have to wait and see though. I think this month could be very busy!

I just saw on SSN that Crewe would be willing to let Patrick Ada, formerly of Histon, to go out on loan in January. Can't say i remember seeing him play but i know he had a reputation as one of the better defenders in non league - worth a shot???

I'm sure he's a centre back, and if we don't lose any defenders then we don't need him.

We'll need a winger assuming Tommo goes, and if Byrne returns to N.F (can't remember how long his loan lasts) then maybe a CM to cover.

Other than that were fine, assuming nobody goes. Even if Tommo does stay I think we need a winger, rather than Byrne/Porter playing wide each week. Looking down the leagues like C*bblers did for Courtney Herbert would be ideal, got him from Long Buckby, wouldn't have had to pay much, be eager to prove themselves at our level and maybe advance.

Patrick Ada is an absolute c**t, nothing but a typical Histon style thug. It was his 'assault' on Woodhouse (oh, the irony!) in our home game against Histon early last season that lead to the mass brawl which subsequently saw Tommo sent off. Aside from that incident, he spent the entire game fouling every Rushden player he could get close to, and if we'd had a half competent referee that day he would have been off before half time.

He is one player I hope to god we never see in a Rushden shirt.

If Osano were to leave we could manage with what we have, Beeky could play right back if it came to it. Looking at it we've got some great young players coming through with Beeky, Smudger and Ainsley MacDonald who should all be commanding transfer fees in a season or two IMO.
Coming in I think some of the players mentioned already would be fine additions to our squad, such as Midson, Tubbs or Harrad. I'd even enquire about Heslop at Ketterin, I think he's been great in midfield for them particularly against Leeds.
