Just a shame he had a go at the fans in the De Banke, when they moaned a Huke for putting his cross out the ground for the second time in 5 minutes!

i thought jon brady was back, with crossing like that.
it was crying out for a cross from the by line. we were winning nothing in the air all night.

As the De Banke moaned as Huke's cross went out the ground, Farrell threw his arm up and seemed to utter the words "f*** off" to the fans. Huke had done exactly the same thing minutes before, so the fans wern't wrong in getting on his back a little.
I also noticed that Faz did'nt clap the De Banke at the end and seemed to tell the rest of the players to follow suit!

I feel that we play our best football with the smaller, faster strikers but sometimes you need the other option that Louis brings. He is big and strong, and more skillful than Rankine (not difficult I know), and I feel he has grown into the side as his fitness and understanding have improved.

He was the best player on the pitch by an absolutely mile tonight IMO. Won every header he went up for and seems to have got his confidence back after a poor spell.

Just to clarify I'd like the starting attack to be O'Connor, Farrell and Thomas with Smith on the bench. No way would I want Farrell to be dropped, he's been immense for a while now.

Drop Tomlin?!? Are you mental? While I want to see Smith involved in the squad, and think we need to see some of Thomas to see if he is going to be any use in the playoffs if (or when, not counting chickens yet) we get there and if he is eligable, and I agree Farrell has to start (if he is fit enough after the way he has put himself about over the last 180 mins of football inparticular), and O'Connor has been doing well. While I agree on all those point you can't leave out Tomlin, and you can't drop a midfielder for him either, so Thomas and Smith on the bench maybe. Or maybe O'Connor on the bench instead of Thomas.

Also Louis isn't a pretty football player, but he has got some ability on the ball he shows in frustratingly infrequent flashes (the build up play to the shot that hit the corner of the crossbar and post at K*ttering anyone...), can flick on quite well (again consistency is a bit poor). Not someone I'd want to sign if we went up, but then if we go up I'd want to change most of the front line. He's definatley extremely useful in the right game. Surprised Akurang is making the bench when Louis plays as they are similar but Akurang isn't as good IMO (except for positional sense).

The problem with Louis is he is too slow. OK he scores now and then but the team carries him. For what we get back in terms of performance I cannot see what JE sees in him. Last night you could count on one hand the number of headers he won and in some games I am sure Burnie wins more in the air, ( quite an achievement really). I can quite see why so many clubs have passed him on, he reminds me of, dare I say, Fortune West.

Probably due to the fact that he was pissed off, because the fans were getting on Hukes back after only his second or third game in the side.
He needs time to adapt to the BSP, get his fitness up, plus he needs to gain confidence, and that won't happen with the fans getting on his back almost with his first touch.
I'll admit at the time I was pissed off with his two misplaced crosses, but after thinking about it, he needs to be given time.

By the way I'm not having a go at you, just putting a point across

The feeling is mutual, i was pissed off at the time, but forgot about it soon after!
