2 very evenly matched sides and a good work out for Diamonds which put minutes into the team. i think Michael was a bit 'tongue in cheek' when he said that it was Bugbrooke's cup final - we are only step 4 and it wasn't Tamworth v Spurs!
Positives? Arguably Cairo's best performance of the season, a solid back 3 and another goal for Martin Peters aka Charlie Green! A very useful weapon at set pieces and surely player of the season by a country mile!
Liked the look of the new right back who could be a very useful acquisition. Now that we have switched to 3 - 5 - 2 I just think Michael has to get it right in the centre of the park. Fraser Corden should start very game - he is our most creative player . A player who could easily play at step 3.
And finally, a word for the referee. Can you please come and referee us at Step 4? A really calm and collected performance despite some of the comments and actions from both sides. The penalty at the end was a stone wall penalty and with only a minute to go he didn't hesitate.
