Agreed, a result on Saturday would be a real statement of intent

Something is definitely building here, to go from shipping goals like crazy away from home to back to back clean sheets and 4 points against teams in the top 8 is a huge improvement, especially coming away from Basford knowing we should have won.

It's been a bit of a stop start season and injuries certainly haven't helped, but if we can keep the 11 that started yesterday going then we're going to be moving up that table, bring on Carlton!

Frustrating watch in some ways yesterday, even if you put the penalty to one side, we had 3 gilt edged chances to score in the second half. In other ways, it’s obviously very pleasing to go away to a play off contender and feel short changed even when the team wasn’t quite at their best up top.

Multiple missed chances v Lichfield and Basford. We should have 4 more points plus 3 from Coventry game and we would be in 5th place.

Not counting Coventry I'd say we also dropped 2 against Bourne at home and 2 away at Rugby Borough, so I reckon we "should be" 8 points better off. If this team hits form it'll soon climb the table, it's certainly a very competitive team overall. So good to see.

Our climb up the table is very reliant on no significant injuries and no players leaving. We still have a relative small squad and just a couple of absentees will affect us as it did when OBH got injured and Bruno was suspended.
