Becks in a diamonds shirt would deffo fill the stadium for games against the likes of Hayes and Forest green ;)
Not such a crazy idea really. Many years ago Bedford Town who in the 60s were acknowledged to be one of the best non league clubs in the country (the old Southern League) were having the same problems with poor crowds. They started bringing in top ex pro,s who were set to retire ,
Ronnie Rooke from Arsenal, Len Duquemin and Colin Brittain from Spurs,Alan Seeley from West Ham are some I can recall It added aprox 1500 to 2000 to attendances and no they did not demand big wages. Bedford Town did go broke later but that was alledgeley due to a bent board
So who are the top ex-pro's coming to the end of there careers now-a-days? - i recently saw robbie fowler play for perth glory against Gold Coast United...he is still banging them in....
Steve Finnan is unattached
can't think of any others...maybe JE can coax some ex tottenham buddies out of retirement...Darren Anderton maybe
I like the LED idea as well

The Illuminated sign outside does not work, somebody lost the remote controller for it. The sheep clone that now spends her Satudays watching football matches asked me to try and get it working a few years ago but nobody could find the remote.

Surely it's not hard to get a replacement remote? (i'm not telling you to get one...i mean just in general ;) )

Dont think they still make one, as soon as it meant spending some money she lost interest.

It's about 15 ft high sits by the A6 with a scrolling LED message on it but since the lost the remote they have no way of programming it.
