Perhaps Parkinson thought he was going to waltz straight into the team.

In all honesty, I doubt that his registration would have gone through in time, seeing as his previous team are part of a different county, and therefore a different county FA, maybe he wasn't registered in time.
No, he's fully registered and was eligible for selection yesterday. There's no delay when moving to a club affiliated with a different CFA, and as we play in a different league to his 'previous' club, he can remain registered for them in their league as well. The deadline for a UCL player to be registered for a game is 4 hours before kick off!
BPW had 2 players yesterday who are also registered to the Ploppies, and we have the likes of Matt Brady and Ashley Meeks who are still registered with us in the UCL, but are also registered for other clubs and playing for them on a Saturday afternoon in order to get games.

I noticed that Leigh Chapman played for them yesterday and was on Whitworths books only last week. did he and hockridge have authority to play, because they were not listed in the program as players.

As Dave said, he could have registered late, printing deadlines for programmes are days before the match !!

I didn't know that Chapman had re-signed for BPW until I got to the game, but I have no doubt that both he and Hockridge were eligible.

There were a few additions to their squad on the Saturday morning, including Mr Muzvimburi. Leigh Chapman and Danny Hockridge were definately on their squad list. All the squad lists are openly available on the Full-Time site and are regularly updated prior to kick-off.

When he's played for the Ploppies they always refer to him as Blazio.
