Lowest crowd we've played in front of this season, but still a good turnout considering the distance.

It was actually Ivor who I was with counted 92 around the three open sides in the first half so on that basis there was only 172 in that main stand which apparently holds 2000.
I agree that there was at least 350 there.

I thought it would be the lowest based on what we took to Harrowby on a warm day back in September, and as you say no surprise given the distance. Possibly the most noise we've made at an away game this season though.

I counted approx 290 which is probably not far off considering a few avoided the "turnstiles".

I think there was a few more than that, that page makes interesting reading though Oadby only managed a 4-3 victory there are Sileby 3-1 victory

I take on board that this is a community club and the old club was very much aimed towards families, especially in its non league days but when a player intentionally kicks the ball into a crowd of fans there is nobody on this site who wouldn't react.
Some of the messages in this thread are a bit of a joke; do you expect fans just to stand there and simply react by saying "thank you for kicking the ball at me, that was a lot of fun".
The player was pretty lucky it was just a pint of beer thrown at him.
Agree with this. Although 2 wrongs don't make a right if someone intentionally boots a ball at you then your natural reaction is to react in a similar manner. I am not condoning throwing anything on a football pitch but by how people have gone on about it you would think that someone had been shot. The saddest thing is that it is a waste of good beer :o
On the whole we have the best behaved fans around, there has been no violence and although it shouldn't happen there are a lot worse things that could happen at football.

290 sounds about right to me. I saw some people come in without paying and did some counting. Surely the stand capacity is 200 not 2000. I would say 260 diamonds and 30 from bourne.

The east stand and associated covered terrace can accommodate 2000 I was reliably informed on Saturday with a ground capacity of around 3000. There must have been well over 150 in the covered terrace and 100 seated. All I can say is there must have been alot 'complimentaries'.
All academic however because it's not our money and it's entirely up to Bourne how they account for the attendance figure. When I came in the 'turnstile' kiosk was unattended and I had to collar a Bourne Town official and ask him if he wanted my money. :o
I must say loved the ground and it's setting and the covered terrace/stand but can see how they were demoted from the Premier division due to ground grading issues back in 2010 with all that unsecured northern aspect close to the park and cricket ground. A three foot high laurel hedge with gaps means anyone can watch for free or gain easy access to the ground. It needs a secure 2 metre high fence although that might present planning problems given the location.

I find that quite amazing having seen it first hand :o

Bourne Town OWS is now quoting official capacity of the ground as 2000. Record attendance was 3000 for a FA Trophy tie in 1970. Wikipedia listing for Bourne Town has the capacity of The Lawns at a massive 5000 which is clearly wrong.
