From the first picture there is a strong arguement that the Histon player is late with the challenge on Macca.
I understand that it is the height of Macca's foot that is the problem but how else was he to get the ball when it was at that height. It appears that Macca was solely intent on getting the ball and did not deliberately catch the Histon player.
My overall opinion, both live and after viewing the pictures, is that a red card was harsh. Maybe a yellow would have been more appropriate.

I agree - its amazing how the two pictures give different impressions. If you look at the second one in isolation it looks bad on Macca's part - yet if you look at both it looks like Macca played the ball before the collision occured - with the Histon player late on the scene.rushdenman wrote:From the first picture there is a strong arguement that the Histon player is late with the challenge on Macca.

I completely agree. I was stood directly behind that picture and clearly saw macca take the ball cleanly before the Histon player got there. It was his momentum that took him off the ground as he was stretching too far and the Histon player was moving at pace.rushdenman wrote:From the first picture there is a strong arguement that the Histon player is late with the challenge on Macca.
