I was only thinking that myself, Robin. ;)

Perhaps, KC might say ' hey you guys I'm sure you're all very bitter the way things turned out at RDFC last June and as a gesture of goodwill I'm prepared to gift to AFC R&D the land occupied by pitch 2 and perhaps pitch 3 so you can get AFC into the UCL.'
AFC committee can then discuss with the landlord of the Sports & Exhibition Centre the use of these facilities and maybe get a licensed bar/club room incorporated so there will be no need to use any of the main complex facilities.

Maybe this is all pie in the sky and wishful thinking on my part but I can't see where else we could better these facilities which would solely be for the use of AFC.

Of course the other plus would be that we'd once again have a vested interest in the site, and a right to object to any other planning applications ;)
Can't see it happenning but it's nice to speculate eh ? ;)

Wishful Thinking, what are the real odds of KC having a guilt trip after selling out to Dumb and Dumber and bequeathing land and pitches to AFC to make amends.

Now on the other hand maybe to get planning permission in the future for different purposes on the remaining land he owns there is still a football club using some of the land for its original purpose so it eases past the Council any changes of use.

That's an excellent point. The land occupied by pitch 2 and 3 is of very limited use for future re-development since it's very close to the river. Since the S&E building is in seperate ownership there will be a right of access from Diamond Way.
Out of interest now that RDFC no longer hire the S&E building how much business does the landlord now get?

time to bury the hatchet me thinks,,,,,,time moves on .......new season is quickly approaching ,do we stay at kiln park? are we allowed?
all options need to be considered!!! dont football cv play on that pitch??? but im guessing that if they move to corby mr kc will want some revnue coming in,makes perfect sense ,mighty afc r&d back at nene park(albeit at a smaller ground across the road :D :D ) someone will have to pocket the rent/be a landlord, and with no ground of our own does it really matter ,,,,,,,,,,you never know kc my feel a little guilty over what happened and let us rent it cheaply(ok maybe not   )
