Don't get why he resigned they did so well on such a small budget.

Bearing in mind he said they would win the league at the beginning of the season and after they beat us in January perhaps he felt that he'd underachieved. Looks like they will finish 4th in the table as I will be very surprised if Eynesbury fail to win at BPW today.

Strange time to announce it, usually you'd wait until the end of the season ........... oh, wait a minute, that finished for them on Saturday didn't it ;)
Things get said by people in the heat of the moment after games, but those things can sometimes come back at ya and bite you in the bum, that's why it's always good to pause for thought !! I think certain things said by their ex-manager did Starms' team talk for him
promotions are won in May, not January !!
I think all 4 of the sides at the top end of the table would do well in the prem next season and I feel privileged to have been part of it this year, all sides have made it as exciting has anything.
Now we can look forward and start planning for next season, but first we have a PARTY on Friday to recover from !!

I heard about this being posted on 'face ache'.Chas wrote:You wouldn't happen to be referring to these comments from Mr Stocking would you Pigman?

A cautionary tale if ever there was one. It also reminded me of Chris Hope's excellent post match comments after our couple of league defeats and the comparison he drew with a Slough Town's premature celebrations the season before when they beat St. Neots.
Chris, you were spot on. ;)

Got to say congratulations to everyone involved. Fans, players, board, management, everyone. To think where the club was two years ago and look now is just astonishing. Everyone is a credit to the organisation and shows the heart that has been in our club all along.
I only wish I could be more involved than watching from afar, but I cannot do any more at the moment.
All of you who give your time to the club have my utter admiration, those who head to the Dog and Duck every week have my jealousy ( ;) ).
Wonderful days, just wonderful.

I thought they would have got a 'proper' manager in charge! :lol:BartonRaz wrote:Jeff Stocking is the new manager of Oadby.

General Manager recruits himself. Perhaps the budget has been cut for next season. :oDiamond_ Wolf wrote:I thought they would have got a 'proper' manager in charge! :lol:BartonRaz wrote:Jeff Stocking is the new manager of Oadby.
