Whatever truth, if any, Aidy Mann states he ruins his case with stupid childish personal comments.rickthediamond wrote: Mon May 13, 2024 5:49 pm Rushden & Higham have released a long statement on X & Facebook.

I urge all members to log into the members lounge and read more facts around the decision but also to get an insight into the work our Chair, Deputy Chair and board have undertaken. You will read that these guys are really hurting right now. Don't forget, both are volunteers. They and the Board need our support and air of positivity now more than ever.
I know first hand how much work goes in to running our club. I still volunteer and I lead a Community Group because I love our Club. I will stand for the Board this year because as you will read, our help and support is needed now more than ever. Please come forward if you can help in any way

100%"agree. We have a great board now united and determined to get the club back on a sound footing. Sadly there are still a few" hangers on" around who seem to want the club to go backwards and are positively gloating as we do an enforced U turn. . The decision to return to D&D was made after considerable consultations with Welly and was certainly not hasty.Dbsl wrote: Tue May 14, 2024 5:20 am I urge all members to log into the members lounge and read more facts around the decision but also to get an insight into the work our Chair, Deputy Chair and board have undertaken. The fact it has not happened is down to Welly not being fully aware of their Landlords intentions,. Rob and Alex work their socks off for our club.

Aidy said the move back has inconvenienced them in regards to their pre-season games. Why not speak to the club, inform them that pre-season games have pre arranged, and suggest that we look to arrange an away tie when they have arranged home games, problem solved.

I agree with your post 97% but can I ask what you mean by " hangers on" ?sussexdiamond wrote: Tue May 14, 2024 7:30 am100%"agree. Aidie is Aidie and will always give his side of the story with his passion, which you have to admire.
From the outside looking it I would suggest that the club looks to build relationships and increase what appears to be a lack of understanding about local football and the people who run neighbouring clubs.

Re: Returning to the Dog & Duck
However disappointing last weeks news was, this is now an opportunity for a 'reset' of the relationship between both clubs. However, Mr Mann - a former R&D player I understand! - appears to have no intention of pressing that button and instead continually shows us the large 'chip on his shoulder'.
In 2 years time Mr Mann may have nobody sharing his bills and might begin to wonder what might have been?
Oh and before I go, I want to praise the current board for all their hard work and somehow getting us out of the mess they inherited. Yes we are back to square one ground wise through no fault of the board but we are lucky to have Rob and Alex at the helm and we must all - and I mean all - get behind the chair and vice chair to take this club forward hopefully in Step 4 again next season.

It was disappointing news, but I can't thank Rob and Alex enough for their contributions to the club so far. Now, as a fan base, they need our support more than ever!
