That Skew Bridge rumour is an interesting one. Hopefully there's some truth in it.

Problem is, we need somewhere by August, I have every hope as a club we can do it but I think skew bridge is a long shot as developers are aiming for 2015 to be ready? And a lot of work needs doing down their after the caravan people( that was my best attempt at being pc) lived their for a while.

I asume there is no chance of a UCL standard ground of our own by August, actually I think by the end of this season to satisfy the relevant authorities. We would need changing facilities, clubhouse, floodlights, covered supporter accomodation, concrete path on 3 sides of railed off pitch, enclosed ground, etc, etc.
This is not meant to be negative but surely we have to be looking at a ground share for next season, if however there were definite plans for a ground of our own in 2013, I'm sure most of us could live with that.

We don't have a pot to pee in at the moment so owning/developing our own ground is a pipe-dream at the moment !! Lets wait until 17th and see what our options are eh?
Now, can we get this thread back on-topic? I see the Plops have an official club announcement planned for today - what do we all think it'll be???
Me? I think it'll be Lee Thorn to take the club on, I believe all this George Rolls stuff has been designed to get Thorn to "up" his offer, which he will do. The next question is, will they stay at Nene Park and how tight is the lease arrangement they've entered into? Eitherway, what I have thought would happen all along will, the Plops will survive for another day..........for a while at least.

Yes, sorry for going off topic. This thread should be for taking the pee out of the two Mickey mouse outfits in Northants, and there is always plenty of scope for that
Best of luck to Swindon Town on Saturday.
Happy new year to all our friends

from Luton, well maybe not, but best wishes for a big win on Sunday anyway

Do we know what time the announcement is? And where it will be announced?

If Lee Thorn is to take the club on he'll need to do something about the minus £1.25 million quid the club had in its last accounts as pointed out by Paul. His offer only considered the current debts and not any historical ones (or as KC described them as "debt-free" maybe that phrase will be rolled out again?) or the monies owed in loans from Ladak's family/ friends, which they seem to want a return on. Hence the fear that after the Luton game, the takings will go swiftly followed by IL.
Apparently there's confusion over the lease, advertised as 25 years but that's not been registered so it must be 7 years or less.
I'm expecting smoke and mirrors and a possible takeover by Bonnie & Clyde who probably believe they've achieved what they set out to.

Given the state of Pitch 2 last time I was down there, and there's nothing to suggest any work has been done, it would be safer playing on the A6

what an absolute shambles of a club they are, so much of it beggars belief, no one is going to touch them with a barge pole whilst that is all going on, so they'll just go bust now.
