Loads of money from people that can afford to shop at Waitrose then.

About the fundraising options/ideas on the Diamonds Supporters Group website, is that a section that's focussed on the next week and a half to do before we have to pay off the HMRC and football creditors debts or are they just fundraising options in general, cause I can offer something as a way of raising some money but unfortunately due to exams until the end of May, I can't do it til after next Tuesday when the 250k or whatever has to be paid off.

We tried to collect at Focus too but they wouldn't let us :(

Approx £68 collected at Waitrose, not bad for 3 hours. Well done to Paul for organising and thanks to his Mum for the signs :)

I think I read somewhere that Focus have just called in the administrators themselves, so that's understandable.

Well done on your fantastic efforts.

I'm not sure why this just went through my head but I guess all ideas and thoughts are worth sharing in this time of need!

Is anybody on here still in contact with Billy Turley? I don't know him personally but have seen at times that he thinks of himself as a bit of an Elvis impersonator. I was wondering what people thought and if he would be interested in doing some form of an Elvis tribute night? How serious or light hearted would depend on him and whether or not anything else was tied into it? Not sure if any local comedians that are looking for a break would be interested or if anyone knows someone trying to make it in the stand up industry or whether any of the other players/ex-players would want to get involved with it with any hidden talent or again, something light hearted? After all, this is about saving the club and anyone thats wore the shirt must care about that as much as we the fans do.If they were willing to volunteer to help the club but the club made money through selling tickets we could raise good money. It doesn't have to be advertised just to Diamonds fans either, i'm sure Cobblers fans would pay to see it or even your every day Joe for the comedy part andif there was some stand up or anything else people can think of?

I guess most at this point are probably thinking why Billy? I guess because he was always a bit of a show man who was idolised by many but let the club down big time. I know he still gets a pretty rough reception whenever he's visited but this not only gives him the chance to give something back after what happened but could also turn some fans opinion around by doing his bit to save this club?

I know its late and if its a bad idea, i'll blame the fact this is wrote at 1am  but it seemed like a good idea and i'm sure others on this forum will know local entertainers of different levels and in different circles that might be interested, especially as it might get them noticed or potential future bookngs etc.
