I was with a chairman of a UCL club yesterday and he says since the Kings Lynn debacle of being put straight into the prem, which caused uproar it will never happen again and clubs now need a 15 year lease to enable them to be in the UCL Prem if they are not in it already. But you will only be in UCL Prem through promotion.
What was the issue with accepting King's Lynn in the Premier Division? They're a BIG club for the UCL and (like us) were formed out of the demise of their parent club. Constitutionally we are only "new" as it was the only way of keeping our "CLUB" going.
There maybe a number of new clubs about to start and if they allow one straight in the UCL Prem, they need to allow others, throwing their league into a farce. As the UCL 1 clubs will object to you or anyone else going in the Prem.
What "other" new clubs are starting up and how do they compare with our circumstances ? My impression was that we have to present a business plan to the UCL and they will decide on that. With our supporter base it's got to be a fairly solid one compared to others in that league, you'd have thought?
Hope this helps.
I am only trying to say what I have been told.
Kings Lynn was put in the Premier at the expense of a club who could of got promoted and this caused issues, regardless of fan base. So I dont believe it will happen again.
Harborough Town have a decent fan base and great venue but if they never got promoted for a new AFC club it would cause issues.
I know what the rules say but Go to the UCL with a 2 year lease and wait for the reply.
I am not trying to cause arguments as I think you have done a great job but I am just saying what I think?

No

I'd be surprised if the FA and Football Conference arent in secret talks about KTFC (as they were when the Diamonds were in trouble). Clearly the integrity of the competition would be compromised if the Poppies started playing games with fewer than 11 players - so either they'll find a way to allow the other Youth team players to be registered, or a way to stop them staging fixtures like they did with Chester City.

Although probably quite happy when they come to play them due to their big fan base

I don't remember us ever coming close to not being able to field a side of 11. The only publicised thing came when the players wanted to strike before Mansfield but the PFA advised them not to.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.
