Can we have a separate topic, entitled 'membership drive' which could be a sticky in which the current membership total could be highlighted?

I agree but it is essential that everyone joins as a member now, irrespective of not watching the youth team this season. A large membership will aid our Club in their application to join a senior league at the highest possible level next season. ;)
Thats great to hear mac - can't wait to see Saturady football again.
People like yourself joining now isn't just about the numbers though (as important as they are). Its about having a say about the future of the club. We're voting on where to play tonight, how much membership will be next season etc - all things that will affect fans returning next season, I presume we'll also have votes on entrance fees etc as the season draws to a close and we know where we are next season - again, things that impact on people like yourself. Remember, votes can be cast by post/internet too, so coming along to meetings etc isn't necessary to have your say.
Being a member gives you a real say on these issues, thats why its so important - plus a strong membership will aid us in our application to join the UCL, something else returning fans will benefit from.

dear oh dear, it gets worse for Kettrin', now their utterly deluded clown of a chairman is blaming Mark Cooper for walking out on the club. The guy is a total moron.

I think 'Desperate Measures' and this whole sorry affair will be ending within the next few days. I would be amazed if the Conference don't slap them with a 5 point deduction and that leaves them fucked in the league, even without taking into account the fact that they'll have serious troubles fielding a side on Saturday. The Conference obviously try hard to weed out financial irregularies, especially with the new financial reporting that clubs have to submit. However, I don't think they'll ever manage to stop the league becoming a farce every year, it's just too unbalanced, especially with the sugar daddies that regularly pop up.

Rather than start a new thread as it's on similar lines, Croyden Athletic of the Ryman Div One have gone bust today.
