not ashamed to say that you are not the only one. and they havnt stopped yet.
My sincere condolences to all those who were close to Dale, his family and his friends. I never met him, but it is clear from this forum that he was one of those guys that brighten other peoples lives when he is with them. Rest in peace Dale.
Take this tragic loss as a reminder to treasure the ones you love every day, and let them know you care about them.

It's taken a day for my account to be activated but i would like to add my sympathies to everyone concerned with Rushden & Diamonds Football Club over the sad loss of Dale Roberts.
Football fans can sometimes get bad press but having spent the past day or two reading the many messages of sympathy for Dale Roberts from fans up and down the county from all levels of football it really just shows that the footballing world really does comes together in the bad times.
Dale Roberts played for my teams fierce local rivals but as a football fan it feels like i have lost one of my own. Still can't get my head around all this, to think how i am letting the problems at KTFC effect me. They are nothing compared to a 24 year old guy who had his life and career ahead of him passing away in such tragic circumstances.
On our forum plans are already being made for a group of our fans to walk from the Airwair Stand across the pitch down to the DeBank end and place some flowers behind the goal in memory of Dale when we play at Nene Park at the start of next month.
I can see it being a very somber derby game. Dale's death has hit the local footballing community in Northants hard and a lot of people either knew Dale or like me know people who knew him well.
RIP Dale.
