Have a word with yourself!

So you're not able to sing "Come on Rushden" because you're scared someone is going to ban you.

Do me a favour.

As for the rest of this thread, some of the criticism on here makes me feel sick. Draw a football match and all of a sudden all these people come out of the woodwork to criticise everything from the ground, to the pitch, the burger bar, the players and even their own fellow supporters. We are not going to win every game and yes not everything is perfect, but there are people working very hard at the club to correct almost everything that has been criticised over the past 14 pages. It takes time though and won't all happen overnight.

I'm as dissapointed as the next person with the performance and result but that's football. We move on and to put positive slant on things its better to have a wake-up call by drawing with Burton than it would be to scrape a win against them and then get the wake-up call against Bugbrooke.

I also completely agree that we need to sort the atmosphere. With that in mind I am going to stand at the back of the DeBanke in the middle tomorrow and sing my head off for 90 minutes. I hope that some of you can join me.
The above post is why I have refrained from using this forum in the past, and maybe I will from now on, as it appears for having an opinion you get shot down!!

Probably my last post so here goes.

criticize the Pitch - Fact its crap!
criticize the ground - who did that,?
Burger Bar - I read it as a "constructive criticism to me :dunno:
criticize the people - nope, not seen that, I fact I have seen the opposite, most threads say, I much appreciate, or wonderful job the people are doing etc etc..

I think this board is there for people to moan about the performance as well as give praise when it goes well. Its best to do it here than on match day and affect the players. So really, I think "winding of neck" should be done by you.

End on a funny note, if you sing "Come In Rushden" as you have put, I will personally throw you out!!!

Firstly the Football, it wasn't dross it was a hard fought game with credit to BPW for stopping us getting the 2nd ball in most situations and credit to BWP's goalkeeper a draw in the end was good result and at times i did wonder if we would actually lose with abreakaway towards the end.

Lack of atmosphere, well yes it was rather lacking but maybe everybody was assuming a easy win, 3 points and being top of the League come 5pm, maybe the same with players were we all complacent :?:

Food, well if the majority at half time strolled over to the Food Outlet expecting to be served within seconds and also expeccted freshly cooked food. well i don't know what planet they come from or maybe they expected Merlin to serve them and magic hot food for everybody in a 10-15 minute window.

As for the moans and groans, well it is the same on every football Forum it seems everybody crawls from the woodwork to bitch when things don't go as planned and when all is well these same people mostly never give encouragement, i think an arcticle in the programme summed up the modern world with everybody expecting instant and constant glory nowdays.

of course the pitch is crap, we are playing at step 6, in a step 5 ground where the pitch has had minimum investment over the last few years. The priority was to get a stand in this season. The pitch really won't improve significantly until next season, and the season after.

there are a number of things we can all do to help, i have put a thread on the members forum for ideas to improve the matchday experience etc, things like kicking into the pdb in the 2nd half, to some volunteers helping to to repair the divots at half and full time, more speakers for the PA system.

Remember there is a members forum on November 7th so it would be great to have a constructive discussion about these things there as well.

Please please please be patient, the matchday experience has improved massively with the changes over the close season, but it won't be perfect from tuesday as these things take time. The same can probably be said for the team, they have had a great start and have to learn how to play against teams who raise their game.

Why, you didn't expect everybody to agree with you did you, i don't expect my post will be agreed with by everybody and we all see a game or incident with a different perpective.

In some ways the difference in attitudes is why people post and in my mind a forum that has good debates is better than a forum that offers nothing but juvenile posts.

I have been to all your matches home and away this season apart from the two Lutterworth matches.
I feel as far as the AFC fans are concerned the most underrated player AFC have is Dev, I think the management realize how important he is to the team, not the fans, he was the only player who came out with any credit on Saturday. With Alfie and Jake in the team both will need the assistant of Dev to create goal scoring opportunities plus he can score goals himself, what a thought to have these three players in the starting line up

Dev is a very good player, I don't think he is underrated personally. He's got 3 goals, 3 MOM's and god knows how many assists.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Totally agree. How can anyone say that Dev is underrated? He is a technically good player and brings a lot to the team.

What we all have to remember is that there's no us and them this time around, we all own the club and are reliant on everyone doing their bit as far as they are able.

I know people are appreciate of the efforts of those that do help, but we really don't need to be told what we already know is wrong. The problem is we can only do so much and what we really need is people to ask what they can do to help alleviate the problem not just tell us what's wrong and then sit back and wait for us to sort it out.

At a rough estimate just over 30 volunteers plus most of the board and a couple of WTFC people helped out on Saturday, a number of whom barely get to see much of the game and it will for the most part be exactly the same faces tomorrow night. Is it any wonder we get a little frustrated when there were nearly 700 people there on Saturday and yet such a small percentage are prepared to help out.

I know you're just trying to help tell us what needs improving, but the help we really need is resolving the problems, not identifying them. It's your club as much as it is ours or anyone elses, if you can see there's a problem, don't just tell us, but put forward ways you can help us to resolve it.

We need to understand we have no divine right to win every single game.

We are going to drop points, that's a fact, Saturday won't be the last time we drop points this season, we should be happy we remain undefeated, so far.

I have no doubt Starms and the lads will take stock of Saturday, and produce a much improved performance, and we'll be discussing a convincing 3 points after the game on Tuesday.

Anyone who has twitter, can see the players know they didn't perform to the best of their ability's, Dev was almost on the verge of crying during his interview after the game.

I agree with most of what has been said although i think 30 volunteers is a healthy number and i wouldnt say that it is a small percentage. It is always going to be the same group of people unfortunately, you will find that at any club throughout the country. Personally i am happy to help out as long as it doesnt involve missing any of the game and i do like to have few drinks on a Saturday afternoon. This may be seen as selfish but i would rather be honest about it. I have helped out in other ways be doing some painting on the clubhouse, selling draw tickets and spending loads on drink, raffle tickets, merchandise etc etc

Im very grateful to all the matchday volunteers because without you we wouldnt have a club!
