Knowing my luck we'll go all the way now and I'll miss out - but wouldn't it be oh so fantastic if we did !! :D
I'm sure she'll enjoy the weekend away from you if it comes to that.

Since we're doing requests I'd like a 4thQR replay and a 1st Round tie (preferably on the Saturday). I'm sure our boys can do that, no problems at all. ;)

Look at the positives, based on the ratings he would have walked into the Cambridge City team - Well I think that's a positive, although they have just been dumped out of the FA Cup.... I'll get him some more pins

I'm just pleased we avoided the dreaded giant killing ;)
To be honest I think we've played better as a team, but we kept going and took the chance we needed. City fans must still be having nightmares over that 2nd penalty.

He tried to do the same as he did with the 1st pen, check his run up let Crossy dive then roll it in the other side. Only problem was he ran up a little faster and as he checked he slipped. Nett result just caught a bit of the ball as he landed on his arse :o so even lumbering Crossy 8-) who by now was laying down had time to crawl back the other way and grab it, for what he is referring to as a penalty save :!: sure wherever you were standing it still looked bloody funny, though behind the goal was probably the best viewing point.

Am I correct in thinking this is more rounds won (four) than R & D ever achieved in a single FA Cup run?

When we got to 3rd proper we only won 3 previous rounds but I don't know what happened in the early years.

Well what a game to make a reappearance at R&D. Gripping from start to finish, a blatant handball, two dodgy penalty decisions and a spot kick that didn't even reach the 6 yard box!!

Every player/fan played their part in what was a deserved victory thanks mainly to the sheer doggedness and determination of the R&D team and a manager doing his homework on the City midfield.

The Rushden equaliser was worth the admission alone while the build up to the winner was pure class.

It was good to see some old friends and the hug with Stacey after the game was the icing on the cake!

Looking forward to seeing many more games in the future.

Welcome back and bring a friend next time or a car full. Doing the turnstiles it was noticeable yesterday the amount of old faces from NP days, some easier to spot than others as in old R&D shirts, may have to make it a 3 game max policy before they are politely asked to visit Stageman and purchase a AFCR&D one  And so far this season at The D&D 6 games 6 wins Goals for 29 Against 5 has got to be the best £6 anyone could spend on any sport in the area :D

Congratulations on your prediction... You know your stuff.
What a result. I didnt think Cambridge were as good as Northwood, we were not great but we achieved what I thought was a difficult ask. They offered very little in attack and were fortunate to be 2-1 up. The comical 'spot-kick' had me howling and this was the turning point. A delightfully struck equaliser by King changed the mood and you could sense the belief in the crowd and then the players that we could win it on the day. Then..... Enter LANCE. what a mazy dribble and lay off that was. Dunks, what a delivery. And if anyone was going to be on the end of it, my man of the match, Alfie, great finish.
This is what the cup is all about and I was shocked that a step 3 club could be that slow and limp, considering their success to date in the league. On the day, their No7 was impressive, that's it.

Who's next ?

Fair enough assessment Footyman, but I thought that stands as our best 90 mins to date, and that Cambridge played much like a good Step 3 side - far from perfect, but better than UCL opponents and better than Northwood.
