Video - http://www.blip.tv/file/4670521

It certainly seems to confirm that Osano's foul on Reid was outside the box, and that Prosser knew nothing about the handball - and what a great game Aaron O'Connor had. The Ryan Charles yellow looks pretty comical too - although there was a totting up element, I'm not sure he did anything wrong in the incident he was booked.

Cheers - I hate Sunday mornings so that video has really cheered me up. :D

Amazing last couple of minutes. Usually we'd have conceded the penalty and had 2 points unfairly taken away from us. To save it then rush up the other end and score is amazing, and hopefully a sign that things are going to start going our way again.

prosser had his arm against his side so that was really harsh , if his arm was in the air then there would be a case. Great save by Joe though. Theres a bit of belief in the squad now .Well done Matty J

We never would have got that second penalty in a million years! Great save tho and brilliant goals from Azza and Johnson. We needed that! :D

Both look like penalties to me, first was clumsy from osano, the second yeah did have is hand by his side, but he moved the ball away with it, so I think they both correct, hell of save for the penalty though.

The debate for the first one is whether the offence was outside of the box.

Some of that refereeing was awful. There were two opposing players, both flew in feet off the ground and only ours got booked. The handball desicion for the penalty is harsh considering the lack of time Prosser had to react. First penalty, well it started with Osano not cutting out the ball given the chance, then he fouled the player outside the box, and again in it! I did notice in that video that Osano got caught coming inside several times.
Great save by Joe for the penalty, all three were nicely taken goals.

With 9 goals scored in our last three away games it beginning to look like we could be a threat on the road again - and are certainly providing entertainment on our travels - we just need to do that at Nene Park as well.

I agree with you about O'Connor, Formic. I voted him MotM on the supporters coach, but his performance looked even better on video.

Charles' booking was ridiculous, but I think the ref was just making amends for not booking him a few minutes earlier for what did look a poor challenge (not shown on the video). Piss poor refereeing on both occasions. I also fail to see what Alan Power did that was any worse than Newport's number 6 in the incident where he was booked. They both jumped into the tackle, and Newport should have had at least one player booked for their reaction to it.

Osano definitely fouled Reid just outside the box, but the challenge that saw him go down was never a foul. Reid has always been a cheating little c**t though, I seem to remember it was him who dived for their penalty against us in the FA Trophy a couple of years ago.

The second penalty was just as ridiculous, the slow motion replay looks a lot worse, but in real time there was no way that Prosser could get his arm out of the way. I thought he and Corky both had good games yesterday, and looked as though they could forge a good partnership together.

The seventeen seconds between the penalty save and Matty scoring at the other end were possibly the best seventeen seconds of my life! I didn't realise at the time just how good MJ's goal was, he took it superbly.

Great to see Sam Smith actually using his pace to beat his man on 6:32, we don't see enough of that from Sam, but he did brilliantly on that occasion, and Eddie Whateverhisnameisthisweek is no slouch! I though JE was spot on to start with Charles though, as he had a fantastic first half (bar the one-on-one miss).

One last observation; that video doesn't do justice to just how shit the 'stadium' is!

You can see why some think that using Stadiums for athletics and football is a c**p idea. Did the Diamonds fans get issued with a pair of binoculars? I see at the 'home' end there were some supporters behind the goal.
