I love this quote from Poppynet
"We do still have the good times, Crowds are improving, and we are still a lot better off than our friends down the road.
Things will get even better in months and years to come."
Be still my aching sides

Was about to quote that one as well, can they really honestly say they're better off than us? We've got a bright, exciting and long term future ahead of us and no possibility of ever being f*cked around by criminal businessmen that couldn't care less for the club, they certainly can't say the same, unless they're one of the ones in the dreamworld where GR is their saviour

Those posts are all from 'the real ace', who just has to be a mole of some kind, his posts are very strange and deluded. Anyone want to own up to it? ;)

I've posted before on this guy. He's clearly a stooge and even Ploppies are wising up to him.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's this Richie Jeune character.
I'm waiting for the 'sweat the facilities' mantra to be trotted out again.

Would you look at that, they're going to use the facilities as much as possible, with pop concerts suggested...
Deja Vu.

Don't you need an events licence to do that?

Yes and the organising costs for a relatively small venue like NP in pop concert terms do not justify the effort and cost in putting them on. You need a big venue like Knebworth or MK Bowl to get the big names to perform and therefore big crowds. Nobody will pay much to watch tribute acts and local bands.
Cambridge United lost thousands of pounds on a summer pop concert at the Abbey Stadium about 6 years ago as a result of poor ticket sales and this in a City with a far larger catchment area than Irthlingborough.
Anyway let them organise one and get their fingers burnt. ;)

Yes, not to mention Performing Rights Licence, various fire inspections, risk assessments, and it must be covered by your bar licence as well. Then there'd be an upfront booking fee for the acts, ticket printing costs, administration and a whole host of other expenditure BEFORE they've raised a penny.
