Re: Fans Forum Roundup
Little too negative RTID, but I completely share your worries about us if we don't go up, who knows what kind of situaiton we would be in by August but the best thing is to do what I'm doing, Believe! I really do get more and more confident all the time that we can do it, we've been underdogs/dark horses all season and now even in the playoffs we're underdogs, I think we're going to upset the odds again in the playoffs, just like we've done in the regular season, we all know we've got a great chance

Few.....I hope you're rightSuperhans wrote:yer you are ...chill out, justin is taking us up!RushdenTillIDie wrote:Is anyone else sad now...I wasn't there, but..we'll never in a month of Sundays get average attendances of 2000, I'm buying a shirt that I don't want and can't afford now, to do what I can now...and i'm also really worried that others who were there, don't think JEMS will sign if we don't go up.
what's the deal with Byrne? any chance he'll be here next year.
I don't know about you but I'm sick of being on tenterhooks about the financial situation. It depresses me a bit, this has been a fantastic season, but now i feel like 2 years ago or middle of last season. Now I'm going to be terrified all playoffs, hoping we do go up, as this appears to be the only long term saviour for our club.
Am i being too negative? I hope so.
I read my report back, it's all stuff to be concerned about...but bloody hell I'm 'atm' needlessly depressed (am I k*ttering in disguise ;) )

After expenses etc, probably not, but the resulting Football League place we'll have will ;)rdfc_92 wrote:Won't a day out at Wembley bring in a fair amount of money for the club?

Re: Fans Forum Roundup
I thought the idea of turning the club shop into a coffee shop/ food outlet to make money off the new NHS site and associated business park was an excellent one. It was proposed that if the hotel was a non-starter that we should try to get food outlets built to try and make money from passing trade. Also we're allowing the use of our car parks for the NHS site/ business park, but it looks like there'll be some sort of pay-and-display arrangement.
Stoney also said that more people should sign up to the Diamonds player on the offy site as it brings income to the club - and no one should nick it's content and post it on youtube cos it's depriving the club of an income.
Oh and the chairman asked the fans to pack out the Kimberley suite for the Presentation Night.

So if we raffle the other 749 shit shirts off at the same rate we'll make £262,150 - sounds like a bloody good idea to me !!Superhans wrote:and a top idea from the fella whos idea it was to raffle a shirt

I agree, a cracking idea by Shaun - "make it happen Shaun, report back to me by Thursday please" - quality !! Its a great idea given the location of the NHS place, close to the main road too for passing trade - if it were a Burger King or McDonalds franchise outlet I'm sure they'd make a bundle and a good bit of that could go to the club in fees/rent etc and the set-up costs would be met by the business setting up - a win/win for the club. Two of Diamonds wrote:I thought the idea of turning the club shop into a coffee shop/ food outlet to make money off the new NHS site and associated business park was an excellent one. Not sure we'll make much from the parking unless they double yellow line Diamond Way, everyone will just park there.

Pre season, we are off to the West Country again and still awaiting replies to our begging letters to Prem Clubs about a game or 2.
P.S.
Nosy friend from up road, we do not jest our Chairman told it straight about the merger proposal, get head out of sand and start brewing the coffee and begin deep inhaling.
I know wasting my breath on the moronic idiots but maybe one day the lights in the brain cell may switch on for a moment.
