Anyway roll on the new season
Thinking about it though, the games lee didnt play last season, every single player on the pitch put 110% in and we come out with some great results! But we are going to have to have a season like that this year!!
I don't know if you call our worst run of the season, with three successive defeats when Tommo was out suspended for three games "Great Results" !
It's a shame to see Tommo go, but we all know he could get frustrated at times, and had he stayed he might have suffered even more frustration. I hope he does well in League 1.
As others have said he was going to go at some point.
I wish Lee all the best for the future, be interesting to see how he goes.
Also a great performance to go out with against WBA at Nene Park as well, that just showed the potential most of us knew he had. Hopefully he can get more and more consistent and deliver that on the pitch.
Now we just want the next set of youngsters in the team to step up as well, along with some of the guys Justin is bringing in.

It's like a parenting process, we've watched them grow up but now they have to leave and we have to nurture another couple of youngsters. Fitting that it was on the day that Jacko made his Championship debut because I can see Tommo being at that level within a year or so.
Anyway on a positive note who do we think will be our next massive sell? Shariff? Smith? With our set-up the future won't ever look bleak.

Unless he does a lot of improving this season, the only place Smith is likely to end up is on the scrapheap of unwanted ex-Diamonds who weren't good enough to remain at the club. ie. K*ttering Town! ;)
Tomlin was always going to go as others have said, I had become hopeful of keeping him for the season and thus making the playoffs again, but so long as we stick to the principles of good football on the deck and team spirit we have a talented enough squad to win matches and play in an entertaining manner. Sure we probably won't make the playoffs again, but there is a chance, and if we did it would be wonderful.
As i am also sad to see him go, i will definatly enjoy watching him play in league 1, AND for all the fifa lovers out there who weren't aware of tomlin before will be able to play as him and i will definatly be signing him and making him top scorer in every league possible!
