I've forwarded this thread to the Club, in advance of this evening so, unless you're prepared to stand up and ask the question yourself, please do not add any further questions. Thanks :)

I think there's been a lot of tosh stated about H & S requirements to operate a cherry picker which prevented any work being done last summer. It does niggle me to see the state of the cladding and a few weeks back I wandered around the ground prior to the match and the back of the Air Wair could do with a good spruce up . Those banners with the footballer's are now looking a bit tatty and one or two are missing with just the cords blowing in the wind.

I suppose the main question to the Beasants should be 'What are your maintenance plans for the Stadium generally this summer in order than rank and file supporters can be approached to offer help?'
Unfortunately all the good work done by Max Griggs in providing a quality stadium will be undone if regular cleaning and maintenance is not carried out. We even had a game postponed for the first time ever as a result of a flooded pitch which was, apparently, caused by blocks drains which hadn't been attended to for a number of years. :(
I had a cherry picker & scissor lift (mobile platform) licence , but ran out 3 year ago. So I can use it but I suppose if any thing happens the club will get the blame, even if it was my choice

The course is about £150.00.

From a Public Liability insurance point of view I don't think the Club would be prepared to expose themselves to a claim in the event that someone gets hurt.

Perhaps this is an area that the Club needs to get specialist help to clean the fascias and cladding.

I already offered the services of a friend of mine who said he would help out and has a current cherry picker license to the club (well the lady organising the closed season cleaning) at the end of last season, but there were some other 'difficulties' with gaining access to the ground/cherry picker. It was all a bit strange tbh. But the club hasd changed hands since so maybe it's something that can be talked about again.

I think the issue was that seats were cleaned in the south stand before an attempt was made to clean the stand fascias and there may have been an issue with possible damage to the pitch although I can't be certain on the latter point.

I think we should just get a cherry picker, mysteriously find the gates left open and clean it all "without the club knowing".

There's big gates at one corner of stadium which the groundsman tractor and lawnmower come through. Sheets of inch ply on the grass and that's all takes

I know how they would access the stadium ;) It was a question of getting keys to do it that seemed to be the stumbling block.
