I am only just catching up with this but it hardly seems credible to think that a member of RDFC's Supporters Trust's management board is also the CEO - and inevitably an influential Board Member - at a rival club.
What, I wonder, would have happenned had Corby been promoted this year and she had then found herself on the supporters trust board of one club whilst at the same time, a director of another club in the same league?
Does smack a bit of control freakery and of Mrs Thompson hedging her bets but presumably she isn't allowed to have things all her own way so far as the Trust is concerned - although having said that and having in mind BD comments on this Forum the other day, you do start to wonder.
With the problems we have on the Club Board, maybe this is a conflict the Trust Board now need to resolve or at least clarify bearing in mind that, along with KC, HT was also a member of the RDFC Club Board at the time the Beasant deal went through and so also has some responsibility for this present mess.
Good article at http://www.twohundredpercent.net today
My personal view is that this is well off the mark. Having spent time speaking to Helen as recently as yesterday (and having volunteered efforts for the club for many seasons she has been involved) I can think of no-one that has committed more of their personal time for Rushden & Diamonds FC, without being paid for her efforts.

I also can't really see where there is a conflict. If the Trust was still running the club then yes there would be an issue - but they aren't.

As regards "responsibility for this mess" I suspect it boils down to whether you believe the statements at the time of the takeover (that the club was debt free), or statements made since by other parties.
I am in agreement with Formic here, having worked closely with Helen for many years you cannot question her commitment or her ability to resolve a financial problem.

I also think that there are many things that go on behind closed doors that people are not aware of and also in some quarters do not need to know. Afterall we are talking about financial information of a company which is private and confidential

I know that as supporters there is both a need and a right to know but lets end all the slinging of words (unless its at the gruesome twosome lol) and get on with the positives

One other thing - the Trust Board has been running several members short for quite a while now - we haven't seen too many others throwing their hat in the ring to take some of the workload - you can always contact them at the Trust Cabin to offer your services.

I think people are running under the misapprehension that there are hundreds of full time people running a trust board and that they have ever had any control of anything but fundraising since KC took over.
And when will everyone stop trying to look back all of the time - we have to move forward ?
And please please if nothing else comes out of this week lets get on together as a fans under a simple title of R&D Fans. The trust committee's have raised money and really that's all we've done for some time.
We've tried to look at what should happen under the new ownership but that didn't seem too urgent for the time being - until now perhaps.
And please can we keep personal opinions of who is and isn't helping and who is or isn't in conflict with who out of this for now ?
It's like being in a bloody school playground again and gangs of screaming kids.
We are all in this together, fans, trust board, youth players and parents and anyone else we can find to help. We need everyone please include everyone from now on and let see what happens tonight and move forward and do whatever we can to keep this club going.

I am happy, as ever, to recognise and accept the differing opinions of others but would just add a couple of further points as a result of my earlier posting.
Firstly I would suggest that the fact RDFC is in an unholy mess is undeniable. In my view - and I have some considerable experience in this and in related areas - the responsibility for our being in that position at least partly rests with whichever of the two parties failed to adequately complete the pre-ownership transfer due diligence process: either KC in relation to his enquiries with regard to the probity of the Beasants, or the Beasants in relation to the financial position of the Club.
Perhaps both.
The only alternative explanation is that in their "rush to the altar", neither party was particularly concerned by their findings in either area.
And in relation to my comments regarding the membership of the Trust Board, I understand that this is a position you have learned to accept based on your knowledge and experience of the person concerned. That does not alter the fact that those who do not have that experience would find the current position strange, if not to say slightly bizarre.

I think both KC and Dave Wignall confirmed the issue tonight - with Dave confirming the Beasant's had agreed the handover was debt free in the recent meeting.
