Re: Trust meeting on Thursday
I don,t know how Ruands would feel about a phoenis side playing there , but not so long back they were playing in the southern league at that ground

Raunds have too much football being played on there pitch. 1st Team, Reserves & Youth.

Raunds Town will play in UCL 1 next season, having been relegated from the Premier this year. The ground would be suitable for Southern League football, unlike Hayden Road. The main reason for their relegation is that due to financial problems they stopped paying the players and consequently ended up with a weak team. I'll bet they would drop their reserve and youth teams pretty quickly given the prospect of a paying tennant, which would ensure their future.
Also I would think the UCL would accept a new club into Division One right up to the time of their AGM as they are desparately short of numbers (and may yet loose Rothwell Town).

I was hoping there would be some outcomes of last nights meeting highlighted, is there any news, how has the fundraising gone and is there any prospect of any club statements

I've put a few details on the Trust Website - see the link in the SaveRDFC blog. It was very clear in the meeting that nobody is getting any updates from the Club, and has no idea when any statement might be made - and this is hampering any discussions / decisions about what to do next.Dinky Diamond wrote:I was hoping there would be some outcomes of last nights meeting highlighted, is there any news, how has the fundraising gone and is there any prospect of any club statements
