That just wont work, its like saying I have a 5 bedroom house but only sleep in one bedroom so its cheaper. Its not!Two of Diamonds wrote:I say again, why should we pay for the full costs of the stadium when we'd only need to use it part-time at that level? Why would it be out of our price range? We'd have to negotiate a deal with KC to pay for what we used and not the upkeep of the whole site as a full-time club. Hire one stand, pay for the gas and electric on a meter then maybe a lease rental agreement or something? Is it that bad that we cannot afford to compete with Histon, Hayes & Yeading, Forest Green Rovers who all have a full stadium to upkeep ? Why are we writing it off so easily ? We do not own the site, so why should we be responsible for paying for all of it?Pressman wrote: Can see ground share or worse still occurring because we will not be able to afford NP in the southern league!
Surely the analogy you should be using is that if you rent a flat in an apartment block with three other flats, you aren't expecting to pay for the rent / rates / cleaning / security / maintenance / utilities for all the other flats ?easystreet wrote:That just wont work, its like saying I have a 5 bedroom house but only sleep in one bedroom so its cheaper. I'll echo this. Getting through the last couple of years was much easier with the prospect of Justin's football to watch every week.diamond82 wrote:Personally i'd like to say how grateful i am for making the Diamonds fun to watch again. I will never forget our run to the playoffs in the season before last. I was in a tough place at the time but following the team home and away got me through it and the football genuinely was a joy to watch.
We forgive you even though the last time we played KTFC at Nene Park, they beat us :evil:Sara Pascoe wrote:I'll echo this. Completely agree, the football under GH got so bad it had almost got to the point where I could hardly be bothered to go and watch such rubbish. But that's never been the case with Justin as manager, its been a great few years, 09/10 was the best season for me watching Diamonds (started supporting in 2003) and I'm sure with a better budget he would have got us back into the league, good luck to him in the future, definitely the best manager we've ever had.Sara Pascoe wrote:I'll echo this.
