Goodbye all, i can't believe what i just witnessed
Re: Goodbye all, i can't believe what i just witnessed
I knew that would happen - and that's why I stayed away tonight. I warned of this on another thread, as in a couple of earlier meetings people have made it clear they are prouder of Nene Park than they are of the club.
KC also knew this as well - and it fitted nicely with the long term plan - so holding the meeting has allowed him to get a selection of snippet to give to any press who question his decisions to bring in the Beasants and then KTFC.
The thing that did surprise me from the reports of tonight is that he's prepared to spend serious money on stadium maintenance - following the period of two to three years when he's allowed the decay of the facilities.

Of course there are people capable of setting up a Phoenix Club its just are there people willing to do so.bozzer wrote:god knows Coltrane.
It was outlined that there was really no other choice apart from having K*ttering here to play football on a saturday.
I really hope they vote against it tomorrow.
There seems to be no one capable of setting up and running a phoenix club either, although that would take a season to do
It would take effort but could be done.

Yes but why did anyone answer the question at all just say, if there isn't any Diamonds you will have to do what you think is fit with your ground. Ball in your court KC over to you your problem whatever we do with our Saturdays and how we spend our money has nothing to do with you, goodbye! Or were some of them angling to get on the K*ttering board of directors or something?

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to get over this. It's a stadium! What kind of moron is proud of a stadium rather than being proud of their club. ARGHHHH! It's just a stadium for f***'s sake!Formic wrote:I knew that would happen - and that's why I stayed away tonight. It's now just a stadium about to have £100K spent on upgrading it though!

Yes it seems KC has got what he wants, rid of the money pit and just a Landlord to Football CV, Kettrin Town and most likely Glenda's Academy, god he must be laughing into his Champers Tonight.

Sod the stadium, our club has just been pronounced dead and there is nothing we can do about it. Quite frankly I am devastated.

I thank Keith for giving me a team to support since 2007, but i'm starting to get the feeling that this club has been systematically dismantled by up to 6 or 7 people. :(
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

What I don't understand is why KC and Ladak think that K*ttering fans are going to want to go to the games, no matter how much of a gutting and refurb Nene Park has K*ttering and all the other BSP teams aren't going to think of it as 'K*ttering's ground' it will be Rushden's old ground, you can cover up and change wallpaper but you can't change history at the stadium.
I give K*ttering 2 seasons before they are in the same boat as we were.
The Beasants were quite obviously picked to take over as they were an easy target to run Rushden into the ground and with their history it's easy to just put the blame on them. No matter who's fault it was fact of the matter is all the fans have been done over big time and the fact that Rushden has had to bludgeoned to death by dodgy business men makes me sick.
