http://www.footballconference.co.uk/new ... ws_id=5174Wrexham appeared before an independent panel of the Football Conference on Thursday, 4th August 2011, to account for the serious financial situation at the football club.
Besides discussing the current position, the club were requested to detail their projections for the coming season. The reasoning for this was to satisfy the Football Conference Ltd, from budget information supplied, whether the club could meet its legal and financial obligations as a member and to determine their ability to fulfill their fixtures and meet creditors` demands.
The panel was informed of a third party involvement in relation to the proposed sale of the clubs stadium together with other assets and received information on how the monies from the sale were intending to be used.
It was crucial, with the season due to commence, to establish, how best to protect not only the integrity of the competition but importantly to safeguard the interest of member clubs.
Wrexham Football Club shall by 5pm on Monday, 8th August undertake to the Football Conference Ltd:-
1. Deposit a bond or bank guarantee of £250,000 into the competitions accounts.
2. Proof of payment to all outstanding football creditors, including staff and players wages.
3. Lodge a signed lease, acceptable to the Football Conference, as to where the club intends to play its home fixtures for season 2011/12.
4. Submit a detailed business plan and revised budget for the coming season
Since it became apparent that the end was nigh for us I haven't taken any interest in what's been happening elsewhere, but has Wrexham's situation really got that much worse than it was at the time of the AGM?BartonRaz wrote:Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to see Wrexham (or any team for that matter) go under, but judging by what i have been reading in the last week or so, if they aren't kicked out then there is a serious case of one rule for them and another for us.

I'm pleased for them. It also demonstrates its quite difficult to get thrown out of the Conference, unless of course there is another agenda. I know a few of our fans believed some of the stories that the Conference was standing in our way - perhaps this might help them to realise where they were being duped.Diamondsforever wrote:Looks like they might be ok after all.
From the Non-League Show on Twitter "The Football Conference is hopeful that Wrexham FC will complete satisfactorily within the next 24hrs those matters which are still required so demonstrating they are in a position to fully comply with their financial and legal obligations to the membership....allowing the competition to proceed without further delay or hindrance this coming weekend."
