I think one of the the deals was to buy an adult season ticket at £200 and get an under 16's for free. Therefore they didn't sell 1000+, they sold so many and gave then away the rest. It works out at less than £5 a game, a recipe for disaster worse than ours IMO cos at least ours were paying the going rate. As for having sold out the corporate packages, sounds like spin to me as these would be included on the attendance figures so even less actually in the stands/ terrace. IL's pitch in the ET was to get the ground 80% full (around the 4000 mark he mentioned), that's already dead in the water it seems.davealbon wrote: That's if you believe that they genuinely did sell 1000+ season tickets. And if they really did, at the knockdown prices there were probably a lot of people who are only going to turn up to half the games.

It all depends what that rent figure is doesn't it, I wonder if it matched the £250k we were alleged to have? Then there's gas, electric, water, grounds maintenance, players wages etc etc etc. According to HT we couldn't even afford Pitch 2 and the hire of the sports centre at that time.Mat.H wrote:I was told that they have sold all the boxes for all the season generating enough income to pay the years rent???
RR will be coming available in a couple of years, I wonder how they'd take to AFC R & D . . . ? ;)

They'll clearly need a huge investment to get them beyond Christmas, when the season ticket money will have run out. Don't forget R&DFC was losing money during the time that Cousins was in sole charge - and hence no rent was being charged at that time.Three of Diamonds wrote:It all depends what that rent figure is doesn't it, I wonder if it matched the £250k we were alleged to have? This was one of the reasons there was no chance the Beasants could have funded those losses as well as the 300K per annum rent that they were also asked to find.
I just hope some of the more level-headed Poppies fans can see all the parallels with the R&DFC demise that are so glaringly obvious to us.
