I have been told that Raunds Town had a meeting last week and at the moment they do not want us playing there next season as a senior side. They currently have a first team and a reserve team and if we play there the reserve side would go. Apparently they would rather keep the reserve side than have the extra income from rent plus 3-400 using the snack bar / bar.

So if they do not change on that where would AFC and up playing.

I have seen it said before that we were consulting with other clubs about next season although I was unaware that they weren't keen. Seems a strange decision financially for Raunds but I was speaking to a UCL-savvy friend of mine in the summer that thought an adult AFC R&D team playing Saturday football at Raunds would kill our hosts off.

Until we can move 'home' i'd love to see us at St Neots with perhaps some coaches/car-sharing thing running from Irthlingborough/Rushden for people who struggle with transport. We're really restricted in this area with adequate stadia and anyone who has been to St Neots will know it's a great facility.

I'm speaking purely personally here as this has been discussed before and people weren't keen due to the location. Also, i have no idea if St Neots is an option i'm just dreaming. ;)

I'd hate to see us at St Neots, it would kill us off before we've properly started. When SN shamefully pulled their reserves out of the Peterborough League, disrupting everyone elses season in the process, it was suggested to me, that AFC R&D would effectively become their 2nd string. I laughed at the idea at the time....

Time will tell eh? As I've said before, whatever Ralph and guys negotiate for us will be done with the best long-term interests of the club at heart. I'm just going to trust them and will go along with whatever they recommend - wherever we play next season I'll be there, and I'll buy a season ticket, I hope many others will do the same.

In the long term I want our own home, close to the two communities we represent..........so any passing landowners of millionaires, please take note, we'd be very grateful :D

Yea thats far too far for our fanbase. Wellingborough Town seems to be a better target IMO

Well the actual choice of where we play will be given to us the fans, it will be a democractic choice and where the majority vote to go we will go.

So i suggest if any out there have not joined as members you do so as you will have a say of what happens next season.

I better put a slight disclaimer, as i have no idea of how many clubs actually might be prepared to accept us for a groundshare so mabey in the end our choice could be limited or a fait accompli.

Could someone please clarify the current time frames in relation to our application for the senior team, have we submitted, if so when, also when do we expect confirmation of which division we will be playing in.
Many thanks.
Still Say that Van Der Veldan had the most amazing ball control of any player at our club.

Surely Wellingborough has a similar issue to St Neots, in that it isn't in the "District of East Northamptonshire", so any attempts to get the "Borough of Wellingborough" council to support a team that represents another area are likely to fall on deaf ears.

It's at times like these, when delicate negotiations are likely to be taking place, that careless postings of an "I have been told" nature, that aren't backed up by published statements, might snooker a possible deal, or guarantee a problem occurs that might otherwise be avoided.
