I'd be willing to bet that it's not as it seems, we're all well aware of the shoddy journalism in that newsletter.

It's really pointless guessing on here when it could be nipped in the bud over on the Members' Forum. I'm sure Ralph can put the record straight over there.

I agree that any discussions on sensitive issues such as this, whether true or otherwise, would be best debated on the members' forum.

No problem with that at all Mat.

Ralph has now clarified this on the Members' Forum.

People, if you believe anything written about our club, without clarification that it is an official post, then you aren't listening.

We are a community run club, run by fans for fans, we will not feed you bullsh*t, we will not lie to you, we will tell you as it is.
Gone are the days of smoke and mirrors, if you want to know the truth and you are a member, then just talk to us 8-) 8-)

I'm getting fed up with this crap journalism. As a former Journalist myself and now PR man, there is a serious case of defamation going on here. Suggesting Starms will get sacked is not only a false accusation but clearly defames the name of our good chairman and the club.

Glad this has been sorted now on the member's forum as some people were beginning to get worried.

What I don't understand is why no focus on Oadby or Sileby, who clearly have big financial backers i.e. individuals with money, but no support basis?

Surely this model of club management is more incongruous with the "honest" club management that all and sundry in the UCL claim to operate. Our club model is far more sustainable than Oadby's and Sileby's, yet why no focus on them?

It stinks of people with an agenda (including the journalist in question) to consistently put the club down, making controversies in order to undermine what we're doing here.

Let's hope this creates a siege mentality within the camp, as we all know this produces results. Just look at the successful mentality managers like Sir Alex have adopted. He is well known for creating the "everyone's out to get us" mentality which brings players together.

The more people snipe, the more united we will become, and that friends is a dangerous situation for the rest of the clubs in this division.

RANT OVER!! :D

Hit the nail on the head there. No other possible explanation for Aidy Mann's total non-story making front page news.

I suspect Starms will think twice before answering more of their questions, which will ultimately be to their detriment.

Mr Chairman has cleared it up on the members forum, so that is good enough for me.

Am really getting tired of this shoddy journalism.

They're just enthusiasts with no real journalism training. If they had been trained, they wouldn't dare write what they have.

Writing a club publication is totally different from supposedly objective writing.
