Did you go on a scouting mission again?

I happened to be going to a customer in Bottisford, so made a detour on the way home...............so basically YES 8-)

Plenty of really nice pubs in Stamford though 30 mins down the road (although some are quite expensive for food), plus a nice place to walk around. That said I may be doing Grantham a disservice, but Stamford trumps most places.

I wouldn't suggest going anywhere near Stamford this weekend as it is the Burghley Horse Trials and the whole town will be gridlocked. This could also affect travel up the A1 around the Stamford area.
I would find an alternative route or allow plenty of time.

Good point, forgot about that, and my niece is there. I even saw the signs for that the other week. Often does affect the A1 both ways as the inside lane tends to get sluggish coming off, though they usually have good signage to ensure people get in lane early.

News from Mark Starmer ahead of the game - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/pre-game-squ ... y-united-a

I'll add a mention about the A1 traffic to the match preview. It already has details of public transport alternatives, which might be a bit of a challenge for those who are used to door-to-door service.

Grantham is the birthplace of Margaret Thatcher, tells you all you need to know about the place

In regards to the new signing, am I right in thinking that at this level we're unaffected by the transfer window?

I guess so. Most players are on non-contract terms?
