I honestly can't understand that - I'd rather watch almost any live football match than one on TV.
Agreed.

Some may think that this is stupid but I wonder if the 'full-whack' admission might put some people off. Personally i'd happily pay double that but perhaps people might have expected a slightly reduced entrance fee for a competition of less importance. Just a thought.

Same, though there's a hell of a lot of armchair premier league fans that wouldn't understand that!

Evening kick-offs during school time will mean that not many SRJFC/Adcademy players will attend, whereas on Saturday there was loads

I'll be there tonight if only to let my wife watch she wants on the telly without having to suffer the footy on ITV. :D

Anthing above 250 tonight will be impressive.

We struggled with the midweek friendlies at the D&D (214 against Buck'm Ath), and in the R&DFC days the nearest equivalent competitions used to see a 50% - 85% drop in gates at Nene Park (Setanta Shield v Stevenage 430 followed by Hillier Cup v Rothwell C 160 a week later).

I'm sure the travelling hordes from Whitworths will swell the gate. ;)

Particularly enjoyed this on their Twitter page earlier:
@AFCRD we're bringing full support tonight. Can you make sure there's about 12 spare seats please? #flourmenfirm #qualitynotquantity
This from Alfie Taylor in the past few minutes:
Possibility of me being rested for tonight's @AFCRD game. But either way looking forward to yet another home encounter #teamgame

It will be good to rest a few for the cup games of less importance and get a 'gelling' of the whole squad, or we will be like strangers when injuries occur and there has been no practice with new players or formations. If Alfie is rested, perhaps a couple of others may be rested as well, and I know that Elliot Dent is going to be missing for a few matches with his injury. Give the squad a bit of bite and competition for places.
