They would only need a 45 minute break IF they get to 4 and a half hours solid driving. If necessary that they need one there is Wetherby services if you can afford to go in there. It is a Moto services and is fairly new and therefore the toilets etc are clean.

I recommend The Shouting Men as an appropriate film for the journey. :D

Blimey, that brings back a memory!

Back in the early eighties, VHS/Betamax Recorders were very rare, and very expensive. The husband of one of my wife's fellow teachers was a high-flying architect (worked with Lord Rogers, for example) so he had all the latest kit, including VHS... my wife and I got invited round for dinner, and whilst Andy was out at the offie getting list-minute wine, and Pat was in the kitchen cooking dinner, Pat suggested that my wife might want to watch the video she'd made of their school's Christmas Fayre and show, the tape of which was in the video machine.... so she pressed all these mysterious buttons, and disappeared off into the kitchen.

She hadn't bargained on Andy having indulged in some late night entertainment the night before, and having left the tape in the VHS machine... it soon became apparent that whatever was being shown, it probably wasn't what was happening in Santa's Grotto at their junior school, or any other junior school for that matter! The problem was that neither I nor my wife had got a scooby about how this strange machine worked, so after five minutes discussing which of us was going to go into the kitchen and tell Pat that her TV screen was displaying a bit more of Santa's Little Helpers than was either tasteful or even possibly (in the eighties) legal...

I will never forget the scream my wife's friend let out when she walked into the living room to offer us pre-prandial drinks... "Would either of you like a glass of - SHIT!"

"Erm, no thanks, Pat... looks like we missed quite an interesting Christmas Fayre!"

As she struggled with the controls of the VHS, which she was also unfamiliar with, Pat was muttering, "I'm going to kill Andy, I swear I'll swing for him..." which, given the circumstances, probably wasn't the most appropriate turn of phrase!

The film in question turned out to be called, according to the box she rammed the tape into, "Debbie Does Dallas".

Bearing in mind where we were living at the time, I would have been a bit worried if it had been called "Deebie Does Dalston"!

Admittedly its not the best film ever, its a very low budget film with a load of terrible jokes. First time I watched it,I couldn't stop laughing, second time I gave up watching after ten minutes. I could relate to the film having traveled the length of the country with all sorts of characters following Rushden.
