I do find it rather odd that a pitch inspection is taking place so early in the day. This doesn't allow for any unfavourable weather for the best part of 10 hours. The forecast is for showers or sleet this afternoon and into the evening. Surely a 6pm inspection would be more appropriate.

I think the inspection is an unofficial one to see whether it is worth throwing two tonne of sand over the pitch during the day.

If it does pass in the next few moments, then the weather looks Ok for the rest of the day

I always go by bbc weather and even that says it will be bright, then cloud over but no rain...Fingers crossed the pitch is playable, been looking forward to this for weeks...
