Andy says he gas joined Stamford and his debut will be the friendly against us.

Good luck to him. I'd like to think a conversation has at least been had with the bloke from our end. Obviously willing to travel and he'll be plying his trade two divisions above us this season...

The good thing about this level of football is the 7 day approach ... same way Hopey came from St Neots after our friendly with them!

I hope he didn't choose Stamford over Swansea.

Spoke to him last evening when he arrived at the ground. He said that Stamford is about as far as he would wish to travel from Merseyside so that would have ruled him out from joining us
I thought he did OK, smashing pass for their first goal and he looks as if he's kept himself fit despite not playing much recently. Seemed to be carrying no excess weight and moved around fairly well. Will be interesting to see how long he stays with the Daniels. He hasn't trained with them and last evening was his first visit there since playing in RDFC's friendly back in July 2002.

I thought he looked alright, good first touch and was putting in some decent passes here and there and it was good to see a couple of his trademark cross field passes and the pass for the first goal was very good. Will be interested to see how many games he plays this season or whether he will be able to, what with the commitments he usually has with women's football, but he'll be useful for them I imagine.

Andy ought to apply for the job of Englands womens team manager.

On their showing this week Hope Powells days are numbered.

He was giving Ms Powell a hard time on twitter that night, perhaps positioning himself for the job??

Andy Burgess has left Stamford and will sign for us before Saturdays game FACT!!!!
