Disgraceful performance from the referee. Huntingdon a decent side.

Can't criticise the referee, he had a good match.
We were not at our best, didn't win any second balls and huntingdon played like it was their cup final.
We lacked creativity but defensively were sound.

First competitive game in our history at senior level that we've failed to score and our first defeat since January :(
Bet Huntingdon couldn't believe their luck when they got in at 0-0 at half time, we should have been a goal or 2 up by then with the blatant penalty that should have been given, I thought we played well in the first half and completely ineffective and bit hopeless in the second when they managed to deal with Dunks, who won most balls in the first half and barely got any in the second.
Very poor refereeing performance I thought, far too whistle happy, I think with it being such a physical league, as a ref you've got to let some things go to let the game flow, but he had to blow for every little touch and push. And with the penalty in the first half, I think if there had been a linesman on the other side of the pitch, then surely it would have been given, from behind the goal it was clear, but just our luck that neither the ref or the lino saw it, or maybe they did

Yes the ref was poor, however he didn't control us playing poorly, and our strange tactics.

And also why did Ben Morgan not come on til about 5 minutes from the end, how much he would have changed the game if he had come on earlier I don't know, but it seems strange to me to wait til so late to bring him on :?

A game of two halves. First half we were very unfortunate and on the receiving end of a whole host of awful refereeing decisions. Second half we didn't turn up and became extremely one-dimensional. Midfield bypassed time and again as we smashed it up to Dunks without a second thought. I'd like to have seen some changes made earlier than they were personally.
On the whole I don't think we deserved to lose on the basis that Huntingdon could only muster 1/2 decent chances in the entire match, but credit where it's due they were solid. We had no answer.
We're going to need to improve for Saturday and perhaps a change or two to the starting eleven will be required. Nothing against the guys that played tonight but Kingy must start. Much like Koriya he's an outlet, someone who can make something happen out of nothing and that's what we lacked tonight.
Lee Bassett (Eynesbury striker) and Thomas Bailie (K*ttering assistant) were both in attendance.
