Striker Mark Jones, who spent the last 3 years at Step 2 with Corby, Boston and Gainsborough is suspended tomorrow.

Hope Dunks sees this quote from Pat Rayment:
Rayment hopes Tulips fans come out to support his team against Diamonds’ impressive army of travelling fans, but he was not worried about the visitors’ other main weapon – striker Russ Dunkley.

Dunkley won the UCL with Long Buckby in 2012, the Northern Premier League (southern division) last year with King’s Lynn and has netted 20 times this term already.

But Rayment added: “We have got Nathan Stainfield and he is a Step 2 centre half whereas Dunkley has spent all his career at Step 4 and 5.

Rayment's got a few "bites", which was probably his intention when making all these comments. Not sure why he feels he need to make them though, when you've won 17 out of 17 I'd imagine you can probably just let your football do the talking.

What a muppet, so disrespectful, lets hope it comes back to bite him come 5pm tomorrow. The quote about us living in the past is the most ridiculous one, nonsense, we've moved on now and its the future that matters. Cannot wait for this game now though :)

I wonder how their team compares to Cambridge City's team that we were able to beat, they've obviously got players that have played at levels even higher than some of ours, but they've hardly been brilliant all season, some great results yes and very good defence, but they've already come close a few times to dropping points and Deeping have got a better goals per game ratio than them.

If Dunks needed any more incentive to beat Spalding then Payment has given it to him now.

But also did not Spalding overtake Long Buckbys record of successive wins recently. One would hope that Dunks along with Koriya, Bunting and Ling will have something to say about that.

Spalding set a record for the number of consecutive wins at the start of a season beating the Bucks record. However, the outright consecutive wins is 19 set by Wisbech Town in season 1947/8 so we really need to p**s on the Tulips bonfire this afternoon to prevent this happening. ;)

When Spalding played a team from a higher division, AFC Hornchurch, they got a bit of a beating at home in the FA Cup earlier in the season.

The network reception is a little dodgy here at Spalding, The pitch looks naff, something you would expect at an infant school. Good crowd, made up with plenty of Diamonds fans.
